Title of the work: From the visible into the supervisible#2: Babylon
Duration: 30 min
Short Description:

The body wants to be the image, wants to transcend the ephemeral reality, the body wants to be social, significant. The body receives information and filters quickly, the sensations stay pulsatingthey are recurrent, they are remnants of the information flow, they are stored in the body. In what parts of the body are such impressions stored? Can we take them out of the body? To the surface and plasticity of the skin? Can we turn those feelings turn into graphic images? The simulacrum cancels the original, but can perhaps also return to reality to us?

After 4 weeks of residency in Tragant Dansa (BCN) and Muelle 3 (Bilbao), at this point of my research I intend to seek the relation of my body and my conscience towards the images that duplication and simulations have stolen their reality. We observe each day the image, we see colors, shapes, contents, emotions, politics, society. The copy or simulation intends to take over the reality and cancels the original. The image is doubled, it becomes more present, or disappears... But what happens to the bodies?
I explore representation and physical action as a way to trascend the image, to make the image more visible, closer to the actual experience. The representation aims to return the lost reality. The image as a simulation of reality, as a copy of the body, the body as a simulation of the image, as a simulation of the present moment, the actual event.

Thanks to Espai Tragant Dansa (BCN) and Muelle 3 (BIO).
